Process: ordering New Tatami
Step 1 Order
We accept your order via inquiry form, email or phone.
Step 2 Confirmation of details
We confirm your request and details via email or phone.
Step 3 Estimation
We quote your order and wait for your confirmation.
Step 4 Measurement
We ask you to send an architectural drawing of the room, or we send our staff to see the room (a fee is charged accordingly).
*If you would like to install tatami in the existing room, we recommend we come to take the measurements. Without precise measurements, the tatami will not fit flush and there will be gaps, level variation, etc.
Step 5 Producing New Tatami
Once we have all the materials, we start producing new tatami according to the measurements.
*Manufacturing time differs depending on the production method and the size of the order.
Step 6 Shipping
Our tatami is produced a little bigger to enhance the durability, so it requires a specific technique to install it.
If you would set tatami in the existing room, it is highly recommended we measure and install (a fee is charged accordingly).
Process of ordering Omote-gae (re-covering) and Uragaeshi (turning over)

*After the transfer of payment is finalized, the product will arrive in approximately two to three weeks via air, and around two months by sea.
