Tosa
This is the only grade among the standard lineup that uses rush grown in Tosa City, Kochi Prefecture.
It is highly durable, and compared to other rush varieties, it has a slightly yellowish tone even in its initial state. As it ages, it turns a refined amber (golden) color with a soft sheen.

The number of rush strands determines density, which changes the appearance and texture.
Each strand is thick and contributes to durability.
The Tosa type is more yellow at the beginning (this is not discoloration from aging).
